 AIUB Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (AJASS)

The AIUB Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (AJASS) is a biannual, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). AJASS provides a scholarly platform for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of arts, humanities, and social sciences. AJASS seeks to advance interdisciplinary scholarship, amplify South Asian perspectives, and foster dialogue that bridges theory and practice. The journal promotes policy-relevant and community-engaged research while supporting emerging scholars through mentorship and constructive peer review.

Scope of the Journal

AJASS welcomes original research articles, review papers, theoretical and conceptual contributions, and other scholarly works across the arts, humanities, and social sciences. The journal encourages interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research addressing contemporary social, cultural, economic, political, educational, and developmental issues, with particular emphasis on Bangladesh, South Asia, and relevant global contexts. Topics include, but are not limited to, economics and development, gender and social inclusion, public health, education, language and literature, media and communication, law and governance, politics and international relations, culture and society, environmental sustainability, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and society, and emerging interdisciplinary perspectives. Contributions that bridge theory and practice, inform public policy, and advance inclusive and sustainable development are particularly encouraged.

The journal welcomes contributions from established researchers, early-career academics, and interdisciplinary research teams. All manuscripts are subject to editorial screening and peer review, with evaluation based on originality, significance, methodological rigour, and clarity.

Manuscript Submission Information

Information for Authors: Interested authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process. Detailed information is available at https://ajass.aiub.edu/index.php/ajass/about/submissions.

All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed. Submissions will be evaluated based on originality, significance, technical quality, and clarity. Once accepted, articles will be posted online immediately and published in a regular journal issue within weeks. Articles will also be simultaneously collected in the online special issue.
